Michael Schield has joined Snow City Arts as executive director. The former foundation president brings experience in managing philanthropic projects to Snow City, a Chicago-based nonprofit that provides free, one-on-one arts education to inpatient children at Stroger Cook County Hospital, Rush University Medical Center and Children's Memorial Hospital. Schield most recently was president of the Schield Family Foundation, which provided strategic philanthropy to education, the arts, health care, social services and the environment. He has an MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management and an undergraduate degree from Brown University.
