Paul Konerko, White Sox: For baseball in Chicago, the MVP again this past year was the underappreciated Konerko. He is now the only player left who has won a World Series in Chicago. He's the only baseball player in Chicago designated as "captain," never once complaining about thankless duties as team spokesman during some very trying times. Oh, and he also may be the best baseball player in Chicago.
