Notre Dame's quarterback Joe Montana, who had the flu, gets a last minute talk with head coach Dan Devine in the closing minutes of their game with University of Houston at the Cotton Bowl Classic on Jan. 1, 1979. Montana's performance in that game is one of the most celebrated of his entire football career being that he was sick and still pulled off a close win over Houston. The game is popularly referred to as the "Chicken Soup Game" since Montana was said to have been fed chicken soup during the game.
