WGCI Big Jam

R. Kelly, the "King of R&B," has been making the ladies scream for more than 18 years, and the cries of passion continue with his latest ballad, "When a Woman Loves." It's sure to bring the house down when he headlines the WGCI (107.5 FM) Big Jam. But he'll have to excuse the girls who are reserving their screams for the new teeny-bopper heartthrobs Mindless Behavior, seconding the headlining slot for the Jam. And, this isn't some ladies'-night show; there will be hip-hop and pop for everybody; Young Jeezy, Wale and Miguel are highlights of the packed lineup. Why go: Hey, Mindless Behavior was the opening act for Janet Jackson's "Number Ones" Tour, so it's not just a bunch of well-choreographed cuties dancing around a stage. Reconsider: Also scheduled to perform: Ace Hood, Jacob Latimore and Elle Varner. Details: 6:30 p.m. Friday at Allstate Arena, 6920 N. Mannheim Road, Rosemont; $20-$25; 800-745-3000, ticketmaster.com
