Patrick Kane

didn’t shy away from photos when he was partying Saturday at the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s annual Mifflin Street Block Party like many celebrities would have. The Blackhawks star instead posed for them – as he often does – and now

– as they often do.

The photos from Saturday show him laughing with another male on the ground next to empty beer cans, posing with two females and then there's a less flattering one of him hunched over on a bar. In other words, the photos aren’t that different from what many guys his age post on their Facebook pages.

So why am I writing about it?

Because Kane wore a custom made t-shirt that included “CINCO por DOS es igual a DIEZ” (5 x 2 = 10) on the front of it and appeared to feature the infamous

on the back.

That’s right, Kane took a photo of himself that many would find embarrassing and made it into a t-shirt, while apparently poking fun at the two females’ looks in the process.

Some of you will probably see the t-shirt and the photos as a sign of immaturity. Some will question why the highly-paid face of the Blackhawks franchise continues to put himself in these positions repeatedly (maybe you'd rather he be more like the Bears'

). And really, I can’t totally disagree.

But now is the part of the article where I remind you that Kane is only 23 and ask you to remember what you were doing when you were his age. I remember what I was doing during this time six years ago when I was around Kane’s age: I was enjoying one of my last free weekends before covering the

World Cup

in Germany for the Tribune.
