'Pirates' heads to Kentucky

The Hypocrites' cheeky production of W. S. Gilbert and Arthur Sullivan's "The Pirates of Penzance," a two-time hit in Chicago and also at the American Repertory Theatre in Cambridge, Mass, has added another regional notch to its belt.

Sean Graney's show will play at the Actors Theatre of Louisville in 2014, the regional house announced on Monday. The season in Louisville also includes Michael Frayn's "Noises Off," Katori Hall's "The Mountaintop," Thornton Wilder's "Our Town" and Jon Jory's adaptation of Henry Fielding's "Tom Jones."

"Pirates" will run Jan. 7 through Feb. 4.
