Authorities have charged a second man in the 2005 killing of a La Grange resident found dead in a burning car in
Prosecutors say Emil Kozeluh, 29, was one of two men who killed Alexander Duran, 32, after attempting to rob him in October 2005.
Kozeluh appeared in Cook County Bond Court on a first-degree murder charge and was denied bond.
The first man charged in the case, 28-year-old Christopher Kronenberger of Westmont, is serving a 60-year sentence for the killing.
Authorities believe that after luring Duran to the park under the pretense of a drug deal, Kozeluh and Kronenberger attempted to rob him. At some point, one of them shot Duran in the back of the head, and the two set the car on fire, according to court documents.
Kozeluh was paroled on Wednesday after serving six years in prison for aggravated robbery. Agents from the
