The manufacturer claims that wiping your feet at least twice on a Dr. Doormat can remove 99 percent of debris from your shoes and help prevent allergens such as dust and mold from coming inside. The company suggests that allergy sufferers, children, seniors and people with compromised immune systems particularly benefit from using Dr. Doormat. It was invented by a mom who studied sanitation and housekeeping while getting a degree in hotel management. After two years of research, lab tests, field studies and consulting with microbiologists and home environmentalists, she launched Dr. Doormat. Other places it might come in handy are next to the cat box, and at the kitchen sink. It comes in six colors and costs $44.99 for the 2-by-3-foot house size and $24.99 for the 2-by-1 ½-foot apartment size. It is made in the U.S.A. from sustainable materials.
