Nebraska and Penn State playing football on Nov. 12. No, the players had nothing to do with the horrific allegations of child molestation against former Nittany Lions assistant Jerry Sandusky. Or the mishandling of those allegations by school leadership, including Joe Paterno. It doesn't matter. This was a moment to remind everyone, especially drooling ignoramus fans with warped perspective and comically pathetic indignation, that games don't matter. Not when they're framed by horror like this.
