"My dad is my best friend. He's taught me everything about life and how to act. And as far as baseball goes, it's weird, but growing up I was a catcher and a hitter, and taught me all that stuff. Now that I'm a pitcher, he doesn't know a whole lot about it, so its kind of come full circle. For me, he was always a guy you could call whenever you need something or need some advice, somebody to talk to. Thats a huge thing to have when your best friend is your dad. It's tough being a baseball player. You have stuff going on back home and you've got to deal with stuff here in Chicago, so it's nice to have somebody who can handle stuff for your and be there for you. It's huge."
