Richard L. Eichholz, a principal at consulting firm bioStrategies Group, has been promoted to partner. Eichholz has more than 25 years of experience assessing health care/biotechnology opportunities and developing strategic and tactical plans to capitalize on them. Before joining bioStrategies, Eichholz evaluated and in-licensed diabetes, infectious disease and gastro-intestinal compounds at Abbott Laboratories. He was also responsible for R&D technology acquisition, negotiating the first pharmacogenomic industry collaboration between Abbott and Genset. He has A.B. in government from Cornell University and a Ph.D. in cell biology from the University of Illinois.
