Sarah Berghorst has been hired as executive director of OneGoal - Chicago, a three-year program that identifies, trains and supports teachers to help underperforming high school students graduate from college. OneGoal - Chicago will partner with 50 teachers in 23 non-selective high schools to serve more than 1,200 Fellows in 2012-2013 and grow to partner with 38 Chicago high schools to serve 2,300 Chicago students by the 2016-2017 school year. Berghorst is chiefly responsible for driving programs and managing strategic relationships with key stakeholders. She works with the organization's national team to share best practices, further the mission of this entrepreneurial, data-driven organization, and help expand the movement. Before joining OneGoal, Berghorst served for more than two years as a consultant at Bain and Co., led Ashoka's Global Development team as director of the Entrepreneur-to-Entrepreneur Program in Latin America and worked with DAI, an international developmentconsulting firm, managing multi-year economic development projects across Latin America.
