LaBeouf was there to film "The Necessary Death of Charlie Countryman," according a young woman holding a walkie-talkie. Apparently he's been linked to the film since 2010 and will play a character who falls for the same woman a violent crime boss has fallen for, but he refuses to back off.
The 26-year-old actor, who filmed "Transformers: Dark of the Moon" in Chicago in 2010, spent much of the time sitting on the front step leading up to an apartment next to City Soles. There was no security next to him. It was just him holding what looked like a bottle in a paper bag sitting alone.
On Sunday, LaBeouf was spotted talking to musicians and hanging out on the dance floor at Underground Wonder Bar. He stopped by Haberdash Men's Shop, also in River North, Tuesday but did not purchase anything.
