Smartphone supermarket shopping at the airport? Why not?

Computer HardwareTesco plc

Tesco, the UK's mega-supermarket, wants to tap legions of smartphone owners who may be bored at the airport and eager to grocery shop before they go on holiday, reports The Guardian. So they've installed a virtual supermarket at Gatwick airport (as in 10 screens in departure lounges). Customers scan in a shopping list then set up a delivery time on their return. It's just a two-week trial, but the concept got a try-out in South Korea last year at train and bus stations.

Sounds like a timesaver and it will be interesting to see how convenience and cost balance out. As for the concept, could it work with Metra?
