Bat used to make last out in 2005 World Series

On Oct. 26, 2005, at Minute Maid Park in Houston, with the White Sox up 1-0 in the bottom of the ninth, Bobby Jenks faced pinch hitter Orlando Palmeiro. Two outs. Jason Lane was on second base. The count was 1-2.

Palmeiro then hit a slow roller. Shortstop Juan Uribe charged the ball and fired to first to barely nail Palmeiro, setting off a wild celebration at the pitcher's mound.

At auction, Harry Caray’s bought the bat for $18,400 and it's now on display at the Navy Pier location. Palmeiro reportedly donated the proceeds to charity.
