A suspect was being questioned in connection with the shooting of two 17-year-old girls in the West
One of the girls was shot in the chest and suffered a graze wound to the head in the attack in the 700 block of South Kilbourn Avenue a little before 5 a.m. this morning, said Chicago Police News Affairs Officer Laura Kubiak. She was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in serious condition, officials said.

The two teens were on the street when a gunman approached them, took out a handgun, and shot them, police said.
A suspect believed to be the attacker was arrested nearby soon after the shooting, police said.
Earlier, in the Logan Square neighborhood, a 22-year-old man who was driving near Kimball and Diversey avenues was shot in his car when he was stopped for a red light while headed east on Diversey, police said.
The man drove himself to Norwegian-American Hospital, and was treated and released for a gunshot wound to the left leg, police said.
The victim and witnesses were evasive when questioned by investigators, Kubiak said.
