Police are looking for a man who stabbed a 15-year-old girl in the thigh this morning in the Woodlawn neighborhood on the South Side.
The incident happened on a sidewalk in the 1400 block of East 64th Street at 10:36 a.m., Chicago Police Department News Affairs Officer Daniel O'Brien said.
A man in his 30s who was wearing a black hoodie fled on the foot after stabbing her, said O'Brien. The victim was taken to University of Chicago Comer Children's Hospital where she was in good condition, said O'Brien.
Paramedics responded to 6410 S. Dante Ave., underneath a viaduct, said Chicago Fire Department spokesman Larry Langford.
Mt. Carmel High School is located at the Dante address.
No one has been arrested and Area Central detectives are investigating.
