Tony Macaluso has joined The WFMT Radio Network 98.7 WFMT as director of Network and Syndication. Macaluso will oversee the syndication of more than three dozen WFMT programs and concert series to hundreds of radio stations around the world. He will also assist in the development and marketing of new radio programs. He comes to the network from Grant Park Music Festival in Millennium Park, where he worked from 2005 most recently as director of marketing and patron services. Before that he was with the Neo-Futurists and Redmoon Theater. Macaluso, 40, wrote "Sounds of Chicago's Lakefront," a book about outdoor concerts in Chicago's Grant Park and the forthcoming book "Secret Spaces atop Chicago," which explores the history and architecture of the tops of many of the city's skyscrapers. He has a master's degree in theater history from the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana and a bachelor's in journalism and Chinese from Augustana College.
