I've been looking back over the previous year of Trib Nation events -- our multimedia department put together this short video -- and it's been fun to relive some of those moments with you.
John Kass cooks a pig and talks about politics. Our national/foreign editor Kerry Luft and columnist Mary Schmich coach a roomful of you on powerful writing. Editorial Page Editor Bruce Dold moderates a series of forums on topics important to Chicago with experts and policy-makers.
You joined us through Press Pass events behind the scenes at Soldier Field, Wrigley Field and Sox Park; screenings of The Help and Jane Eyre, and at Chicago Live!, our weekly news variety show onstage with The Second City.
To say nothing of the string of fascinating and funny writers who shared their thoughts with us -- Sam Shepard, Rebecca Skloot, and E.O. Wilson. Stephen Sondheim, Jonathan Franzen and Isabel Wilkerson. Other authors featured in our literary series over the past year included Joyce Carol Oates, Amy Chua, Caroline Kennedy, Elizabeth Berg and Jacqueline Mitchard, Jeffrey Eugenides, Alexander McCall Smith, Alison Owings, Sapphire, Umberto Eco and Kathryn Stockett. Whew!
Thanks for learning with us about social media, and personal finance, and photography, and relationships. It has been a pleasure, and there is so much more to see and share and do together in 2012. Check out TribNation.com/Events for the subjects that interest you, buy a ticket, and invite your friends to join us, too.
We look forward to more insight and fun with you like the events in this video:
