Federal workplace safety officials have launched an investigation of a company after a 57-year-old truck driver was killed after being pinned between his truck and a post in Bensenville Monday.

The accident happened at 651 Thorndale in Bensenville at Vitran Express.
The medical examiner's office on Tuesday ruled his death an accident and determined that he died of multiple injuries after he became pinned between the door of his truck and a fixed object.
Reports indicated that Sum was conducting a safety check of his truck prior to leaving when he was pinned between the open door of the cab and a post in a loading area.
