Veteran lineup for Blackhawks vs. Penguins

Most of the Chicago Blackhawks' regulars will be in the lineup when they face the Pittsburgh Penguins in an exhibition game Friday night at the United Center.

Those expected to make the 2011-12 roster and not playing include Ben Smith (concussion), Viktor Stalberg (knee), Dave Bolland (upper body) and Sami Lepisto.

Meanwhile, the NHL has suspended the Red Wings' Brendan Smith for the remainder of the preseason and five games of the regular-season for his illegal hit to the head of Ben Smith during Wednesday night's game. Brendan Smith will forfeit $23,648.65 in salary to the Players' Emergency Assistance Fund.

Here are the lineups for Friday's game between the Hawks and Penguins:

Blackhawks

FORWARDS: Carcillo, Brunette, Kruger, Toews, Mayers, Bickell, Pirri, Saad, Frolik, Hossa, Olesz, Kane.

DEFENSEMEN: Keith, Hjalmarsson, Montador, O'Donnell, Seabrook, Leddy.

GOALTENDERS: Emery, Salak.

Penguins

FORWARDS: Dupuis, Letestu, Staal, Neal, Cooke, Sullivan, Adams, MacIntyre, Asham, Vitale, Kennedy, Malkin.

DEFENSEMEN: Michalek, Engelland, Martin, Strait, Letang, Morrow.

GOALTENDERS: Fleury, Johnson.
