W. James McNerney Jr. has been elected chairman of Business Roundtable, an association of U.S. chief executives. McNerney, chairman, president and chief executive of Boeing Co., will take over Sept. 1 from Ivan G. Seidenberg, chairman and CEO of Verizon Communications, who has led the organization for three years. McNerney serves on roundtable's Executive Committee and is chairman of its International Engagement Initiative. Additionally, David M. Cote, chairman and CEO of Honeywell; Andrew N. Liveris, chairman and CEO of Dow Chemical Co.; Robert A. McDonald, chairman, president and CEO of Procter & Gamble Co., have been elected vice chairmen of Business Roundtable.
