Walter Cade has been promoted to general sales manager at Comcast SportsNet, the television home of the Chicago Blackhawks, Bulls, Cubs and White Sox. The 20-year Chicago sports advertising/marketing sales veteran replaces Phil Bedella, who was recently promoted to vice president/general manager for the network. Previously national sales manager at the cable sports station, Cade will oversee the network's entire national, local and digital sales efforts, which will include budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning, along with the development of new business opportunities across all platforms. Before joining Comcast SportsNet Chicago at its debut in 2004, Cade was national sales manager at Fox Sports Net Chicago from 2002-2004. He also has experience with Starcom Worldwide in Chicago, Group W Sports Marketing, Katz Media Group and the Chicago Bulls. He has a bachelor's degree in communications from Western Michigan University.
