A woman was robbed about 1:15 a.m. near Northwestern University's Chicago campus as she was walking west on Erie Street near McClurg Court, according to police.
One of two men who approached her from behind pulled a silver gun and demanded her bag, according to a security alert posted to Northwestern University's website.
The woman, who was "not affiliated with Northwestern University" according to the alert, She set her bag on the ground, police said. They then ordered her to the ground, took her bag and fled east on Erie Street and north on McClurg Court in the Streeterville neighborhood.
The woman was not injured and was unable to provide detailed descriptions of the men to police, they said.
