Here today, gone tomorrow: Uruguayan forward Federico Puppo came to the Fire as a "designated player," a special status that permits Major League Soccer teams to sign players outside the league salary cap. Puppo arrived with some fanfare from Uruguayan club Danubio FC and appeared in 12 matches with one goal and one assist. By June he was gone.
