John Rowe, retired CEO and chairman, Exelon Corp.

I managed to retire and am now occupied chairing the Field Museum, Illinois Institute of Technology and New Schools for Chicago. I am also teaching history (at The Rowe-Clark Math and Science Academy in West Humboldt Park, co-founded by the Rowe Family Charitable Trust). The biggest accomplishment for Exelon Corp. is the completion of the Constellation Energy acquisition. The biggest surprise is how low natural gas prices have fallen. Weak economic growth means low prices and low sales for Exelon. My successor, Chris Crane, has his hands full.See the original profile that ran Nov. 14, 2011
