Where have the New York Yankees been hanging out in Chicago ever since their three-game series with the White Sox began Monday at U.S. Cellular Field?
Exactly where you think they would.
Following Tuesday's loss to the White Sox, the Yankees’ Curtis Granderson visited the newly opened Homestead, where he is an investor, along with several teammates, including Derek Jeter, CC Sabathia, Eric Chavez, Robinson Cano, Joba Chamberlain, Andruw Jones, Russell Martin and Nick Swisher.
The Thornton Fractional South High School alum is also an investor in Roots Handmade Pizza, located below Homestead, and took the players there afterward for Quad Cities-style pizza (they ordered 16 of them, from what I hear). This was the second time Jeter and Sabathia dined at Roots. They joined Granderson for dinner at the Ukrainian Village restaurant when the Yankees were in town last year.
After Roots, Jeter and co. partied at the exclusive Board Room into the early hours of Wednesday (the White Sox's Adam Dunn was also at Board Room that night). Jeter had dinner with Jones Wednesday at Sunda and Thursday at Chicago Cut Steakhouse, both of which he has visited multiple times over the years. "The Captain" had lunch Tuesday at Tavern on Rush.
The Yankees' Alex Rodriguez was spotted Monday at the popular celebrity hangout RPM Italian with former WWE Divas Torrie Wilson, who he is dating, and Victoria, who now goes by Tara in TNA. The three-time American League MVP dined at Gibsons Bar & Steakhouse Tuesday and Thursday, Chicago Cut Wednesday and Mercadito Thursday.
Cano had dinner at Chicago Cut after Monday’s loss to the White Sox, just like he did last year with Jeter.
