Power outage hits Old Town neighborhood

UPDATE: All power was restored overnight, ComEd said this morning.

A power outage hit the Old Town neighborhood Wednesday night, affecting 1,500 customers, according to officials.

The outage started at 9:30 p.m., and as of 10:40 p.m. power had been restored to 1,000 customers, according to Commonwealth Edison spokeswoman Alicia Zatkowski.

The outage boundaries were from Lake Shore Drive to Dayton Street and from Menomonee Street to Chicago Avenue, she said.

The cause was under investigation and there was no estimate for when power would be fully restored.
