Best fan shot of the fest so far? Haley (last name withheld upon request) smokes the reefer before the start of Sleigh Bells. That's what the kids call it these days, right?

Was the most energetic act of the day? 8:43 p.m.

Discuss. Or just check out this awesome pic from Tribune photographer Armando Sanchez.

Danny Brown's hair goes on at 7:40 7:18 p.m.

We saw Danny Brown in the press tent a little earlier. The 'do is surprisingly tame today. We'll see how long that lasts.

Twitter responses to Pitchfork 6:29 p.m.

Our friends at Red Eye put together this great list of Twitter responses to the first day of Pitchfork.

Pitchfork walkabout 3:58 p.m.

The Atlas Moth (Photo by Armando L. Sanchez)

While the power was out, it gave us a chance to check out the Pitchfork grounds. If you're coming out this weekend, make sure to check out the Flatstock poster exhibit, as well as the official merchandise tent. While we're not paying 25 bucks for a festival T-shirt, we'd totally buy three water guns for $5. More water!

Power up 3:44 p.m.

We are experiencing power outages in the media tent, but it looks like we're back up and running. To make up for it, let Big K.R.I.T melt your face with his show from yesterday -- definitely one of the highlights of the day.

Rain rain, go away 3:40 p.m.

Peter Wiley uses a trash bag for a rain poncho as the rain moves over concert goers at Pitchfork Music Festival

Looks like the second round of rain has passed us -- we hope. Here's a shot from Tribune photographer Armando L. Sanchez when things were a little dicier out there. Stay dry, people!
