Free or practically free Silly Bandz

Groupon, Inc.Bucktown

Haven't you always wanted to take one of those pizza tours? Today on BuyWithMe, $24 gets you a two-hour walking tour of four pizza places, with a slice at each -- normally $48.

Both Groupon and Living Social have Chicago car wash deals, and none too soon from the looks of my salty Subaru: $40-$45 for five hand washes at Fast Eddie's in Bucktown on Groupon, or five non-hand washes for $20 in Naperville or Downer's Grove on Living Social.

There are also some good daily deals for kids stuff you can order online:

Just $1 for a 24-pack of Silly Bandz, shipped, on FamilyFinds. Or, if you got the $5 credit for following MamaLoot when it joined FamilyFinds, this would be free. (So, does this mean the Silly Bandz craze is over?)

$12 for a one-year subscription to National Geographic Little Kids on Plum District. This looks right up my kids' alley and I would totally get it if we didn't already receive Your Big Back Yard and Highlights. Yes, my kids get more mail than I do.

Eversave has half off at, which carries Melissa and Doug and other nice kid stuff. $25 gets you a $50 voucher, plus you pay shipping. I ordered from this place for Christmas through a daily deal and didn't have any problems. (Also, today and tomorrow only, new members that you refer to Eversave will get a $5 credit in their account. As always, you get $10 after your referrals' first purchase.)
