Roosevelt hot spots

Celebrities are hotly anticipating the imminent opening of the Gable/Lombard Penthouse at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel. The famed trysting place of the silver screen legends has been revamped by designer Dodd Mitchell and includes three floors of luxury hoteling. The penthouse's open-air rooftop is located right under the Roosevelt sign for some extra bling. The penthouse makes its debut at the end of this month, and it'll run $5,000 a night.... And speaking of the Roosevelt, Giovanni Ribisi, Lake Bell and Zooey Deschanel were among those kicking it at last Wednesday's regular installment of jazz night in the lobby. The hotel also just debuted Room 100, a new VIP lounge within the poolside Tropicana play area. The name comes from an upcoming glossy that's being launched by the Thompson Hotel group (which owns the Roosevelt) and BlackBook magazine.... And speaking of chic hotels, the Hotel Sofitel is getting a face-lift, and among the upcoming bonuses is a new Rande Gerber bar dubbed the Stone Rose Lounge....Among those copping swag at the Boom Boom Room were Shar Jackson, Vivica Fox, Melissa Joan Hart and Fred Savage, who turned out at the makeshift gifting suite at the Park Hyatt Hotel in Century City on Friday as part of the MTV Awards festivities.

Shop hopping

Gnarls Barkley scored six grand worth of Ben Sherman clothing at the Thursday opening of the new Beverly Center boutique.... And fashionistas turned out for the debut of DDCLAB LA, a new Melrose Avenue boutique that celebrated its grand opening on Tuesday with the sounds of DJ Samantha Ronson. The event was hosted by Bijou Phillips....Nick Lachey and Kim Kardashian were all kissy-face in a back booth at Shag on Monday night, while Justin Timberlake and gal pal Cameron Diaz hit the Hollywood club's dance floor.... Saturday's Celebrity Surf Jam at the Huntington Beach pier is already making waves. Among the stars getting tubular are Minnie Driver, David Chokachi and Brandon Boyd, all turning out to help raise money for the Surfrider Foundation.

Rocking out

Dave Navarro was scheduled to host a birthday bash on Wednesday night at On the Rox.... Foreigner performs tonight at the Roxy to benefit the Painted Turtle Camp, a youth camp founded by Lou and Paige Adler for children with life-threatening illnesses.... Rachel Bilson cheered on her man, Adam Brody, while he played drums for his band Big Japan at the Key Club on Thursday. Also hanging out were actor Josh Hopkins and New Found Glory's Jordan Pundik....Lindsay Lohan joined Jared Leto in his dressing room after he performed with his band, 30 Seconds to Mars, at Avalon Hollywood on Thursday. And later in the evening, the stars made their way to the Spider Club, where Paris Hilton and Brandon Davis were hanging out. Lohan even DJ'd. Girl's got rhythm.
