Long, luscious, luxe ... long shot? Henrik Fisker, storied designer of filthy hot sports cars at
BMW and
Aston Martin, has sworn that he can bring his dramatic plug-in hybrid sports car to market by the end of 2009. This will be one of those deals like when people waited to see Politburo members waving from atop Lenin's tomb during the May Day parade. If the Karma does materialize, the future will be rosy for Fisker's company. If it doesn't show, people could disappear in the night.
