The new Indian is in its last phase of testing for the new Chief, which will be made in four different versions -- Standard, Deluxe, Roadmaster and Vintage -- and range in price from $30,999 to $35,499.

2009 Indian Chief
A pre-production version of the 2009 Indian Chief from the new Indian Motorcycle company in Kings Mountain, N.C. The model is slated to go into production in late summer or early fall. The Chief will come in four different versions Standard, Deluxe, Roadmaster and Vintage and range in price from $30,999 to $35,499. Each version employs the same powertrain: an air-cooled, fuel-injected, pushrod Power Plus 105 cubic inch V-twin motor with a 6-speed transmission.
