John C. Cushman III sells Pasadena home for $3.25 million
Commercial real estate giant John C. Cushman III and his wife, Jeanine, have sold their Monterey Colonial-style home in Pasadena for $3.25 million.
Designed by Roland Coate and built in 1933, the 5,000-square-foot gated house has four bedrooms and five bathrooms. Among architectural details: A balcony spans the entire front of the house, a bay window in the dining room looks out on the rear garden, and the library features a fireplace and built-in bookcases. The master bedroom suite has a sitting room. The nearly one-half acre of grounds includes a swimming pool.
The Cushmans are relocating to a new luxury condominium in Pasadena that will be their principal residence. The condo, which is being designed to meet their specifications, will have housekeeping and a concierge.
They also maintain a condominium on 5th Avenue in Manhattan, a ranch in the Grand Tetons and a home in the Palm Desert area. Cushman, 69, is chairman of the international real estate brokerage Cushman & Wakefield.
The mother-daughter team of Fran Benuska and LeAnn Healy at Coldwell Banker, San Marino, has the listing. Richard von Ernst of Sotheby’s International Realty, Pasadena, represented the buyer.
