Hot Property: Producer Erik Nelson lists his Los Feliz home at $2,649,000
Hot Property
Hollywood may be following the work north. Erik Nelson, a producer of more than 75 television specials and series, is selling his Los Feliz home and relocating to Vancouver, Canada, where most of his TV production is.
He’s not just leaving Hollywood behind; he’s leaving a piece of Hollywood history: The house he is selling once was owned by filmmaker Cecil B. DeMille, according to the Multiple Listing Service.
The asking price for the 3,168-square-foot gated Georgian Colonial is $2,649,000. It has four bedrooms, five bathrooms, a gourmet kitchen and swimming pool. There is a separate guesthouse.
DeMille bought the house for his mistress, Julia Faye, who appeared in more of his films than any other actress. He continued to keep her employed in bit parts long after their relationship was over.
Nelson is the executive producer of “Escape to Chimp Eden” and “Extreme Survival.”
He and his family have purchased a waterfront house in Vancouver from actress Gillian Anderson, who reprises her role as agent Dana Scully in this summer’s “The X-Files: I Want to Believe.”
Agents Gary Bergevin and Tess Nelson, Prudential California Realty, have the listing.
