Looking through the front of the museum at a figure inside silhoutted by the light from the glass reception hall with reflections of the Milwaukee skyline on the glass entry. Spanish Architect Santiago Calatrava watched as he saw for the first time, the sunscreen known as the Burke Brise Soleil rise. Calatrava designed the addition for the Milwaukee Art Museum which has a 30 percent increase in gallery space along with a 250ft long suspension bridge and the Quadracci Pavilion.
