Greg Cameron, 53, formerly Executive Vice President and Chief Development Officer, has been promoted to the post of Chief Operating Officer (COO) for the organization, effective July 1. In his new position, Cameron continues to oversee development efforts for the organization, and as COO, is playing a more prominent role in managing day-to-day operations for WTTW and WFMT, including supervision of internal and external communications and television and radio sales. Prior to arriving at WTTW in 2008, Cameron served as the Deputy Director and Chief Development Officer at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago for more than seven years. Previously, he held the position of Chief Development Officer, in addition to several key positions in the development office. From 1994-97, he served as the Director of Foundation and Corporate Relations at the Art Institute of Chicago, and as Development Coordinator at the City of Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs from 1986-88. A board member of Arts Alliance Illinois, Common Threads, the Renaissance Society at the University of Chicago, Comer Children's Hospital Friends Against AIDS, Cameron also serves on various committees, including the Young Women's Leadership Charter School (YWLCS), the Center on Halsted, The School of the Art Institute, the University of Illinois and the Chicago History Museum.
