John McGovern, executive vice president, Resolute Consulting

John McGovern was promoted from Vice President to Executive Vice President at Resolute Consulting, the company said this week. Prior to joining Resolute, John was a senior advisor to J. Dennis Hastert, former Speaker of the United States House of Representatives. During his eight years with Speaker Hastert, John worked as a press secretary, national campaign spokesperson and executive director of Keep Our Majority PAC, Speaker Hastert's national political action committee. He holds a J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law and an A.B. in history and American studies from Princeton University. He is admitted to the Illinois Bar.
