Tom Bracy has been promoted to executive director of the Merit School of Music. Bracy he has served various roles at Merit over five years including acting director of development, director of human resources and chief operating officer. He will manage and supervise all operational elements at the nonprofit community music school. Bracy originally joined Merit as a faculty member from 1989-1992 and returned in 2004 to teach in its Bridges: Partners in Music Program. He began his music education career in 1986 as a band director for the Archdiocese of Chicago while attending Northeastern Illinois University. He has a B.A. in organization management and leadership from North Park University.
