Michael De Rouin has been promoted to president of FitzGerald Associates Architects. De Rouin, 41, succeeds Patrick FitzGerald, who has become chairman, and will maintain client responsibilities as a principal as well as overseeing the firm's operations. De Rouin has been with the firm for 20 years, working on projects including Block Y, 1000 West Adams, University Village Lofts and Mid-Rise, 740 Fulton and 1819 South Michigan. He has a bachelor's degree in architecture/design and structures from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
