Dr. Michael Hriljac has been named executive director of the Illinois Podiatric Medical Association, replacing Mary Feely, who served in the post for 16 years. After graduating from Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in 1979, he founded Ridgeland Podiatry Center. He ran the practice for 20 years, when he left to pursue a law degree. Hriljac also has been chief of podiatric surgery at Oak Park Hospital and MacNeal Hospital, Berwyn. Most recently, he represented solo and small group practices, companies and investors in the health care field at Robbins, Salomon & Patt. He has a bachelors in biology from the University of Illinois at Chicago, a masters in health law from Loyola University Chicago School of Law and a J.D. from John Marshall Law School in Chicago.
