Jean Pogge, formerly executive vice president for ShoreBank, will join the staff of the Delta Institute as its new CEO, the organization announced. Founder Donna Ducharme announced last year that she would step down after 13 years, effective June 30, 2011. Pogge spent 18 years at ShoreBank in Chicago, most recently as executive vice president of the Community and Consumer Banking Group and a member of the banks Executive Leadership Team. Before joining ShoreBank, Pogge served as president of the Woodstock Institute, a national nonprofit research and policy organization working in the areas of fair lending, wealth creation, and financial systems reform policy. Pogge also worked for the Combined Insurance Co. America and Blue Cross Association. She also has served as curriculum consultant and adjunct professor for the Certificate in Nonprofit Management through the Great Cities Program at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Delta will begin the transition to new leadership when Jean starts work on May 2, 2011. She will officially assume the CEO position on July 1, 2011, when the current CEO, Donna Ducharme, steps down. Ducharme will continue to serve Delta Institute as part-time senior advisor, managing Deltas New Markets Tax Credit Fund and providing support to the new leadership team.
