Nancy B. Prial has been elected to the management committee of Essex Investment Management Co., a firm specializing in growth stocks. Prial becomes the fourth member of the management committee, joining Stephen D. Cutler, president; Christopher P. McConnell, chief executive; and Joseph C. McNay, chief investment officer. With more than 25 years of industry experience, Prial will continue as a portfolio manager for the Essex Small/Micro Cap Growth and Small/Mid Cap Growth strategies in the firm's Evanston office. Before joining Essex in 2005, Prial, a certified financial analyst, spent six years at The Burridge Group as vice president and chief investment officer and four years at the Twentieth Century division of American Century Investors. She has a B. S. in electrical engineering and B.A. in mathematics from Bucknell University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
