Mary Ellen Schopp has joined Rush in the new position of senior vice president of human resources. In this role, she will focus on the strategic direction of human resources at Rush, leadership development and training. As a member of Rushs senior management team, she also will be the division of human resources liaison to the Rush Board of Trustees. Peter Butler, Rushs executive vice president and COO, made the announcement. For the past three years, Schopp was senior vice president of human resources and communications with Lawson Products, Inc., a Des Plaines-based global distributor of maintenance and repair supplies. She previously was a vice president of human resources at Conagra Foods, a consumer packaged foods company in Naperville. Prior to that, she was director of human resources for PepsiCo/Quaker in Chicago. Mary Ellen received her bachelors degree in industrial/organizational psychology from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and master of science degrees in industrial/labor relations and organization development from Loyola University.
