Alex Vandiver has been named director of business excellence for The Joint Commission and director of the Joint Commission Center for Transforming Healthcare, which aims to solve health cares most critical safety and quality problems. As business excellence director, Vandiver will lead internal Robust Process Improvement projects. In his health care role, he will work with the nations leading hospitals and health systems to analyze breakdowns in care and develop solutions. Vandiver joined The Joint Commission in 2006. Before that, he was at General Electric, implementing sustainable improvements for Citibank, Wal-Mart and AARP and other clients.
