Tad Wefel has joined Klaff Realty as director of acquisitions, responsible for sourcing, structuring and underwriting the firms national acquisition program. Most recently, Wefel headed acquisitions for an institutionally supported Chicago-based investment firm. Before that, he spent 12 years with General Growth Properties, directing the acquisition of high-profile retail properties including The Rouse Co., JP Realty, Ala Moana, The Grand Canal Shoppes and Glendale Galleria. Wefel has an MBA in real estate finance from the James A. Graaskamp Center for Real Estate at the University of Wisconsin at Madison and a BA in political science also from Wisconsin.
