Andrea Zopp has been named president and chief executive of the Chicago Urban League.<br>

Zopp comes to the Urban League from <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="ORCRP017246" title="Exelon Corp." href="/topic/economy-business-finance/energy-resource-industries/exelon-corp.-ORCRP017246.topic">Exelon Corp.</a>, where she was most recently executive vice president and general counsel.<br>

Before that she had a similar roles at Sears Holdings Corp.  and at Sara Lee Corp. Zopp also spent six years in the Cook County State's Attorney's Office, where she was  first assistant state's attorney.<br>

Zopp has a bachelor’s degree in history and science and a J.D. from <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="OREDU0000180" title="Harvard University" href="/topic/education/colleges-universities/harvard-university-OREDU0000180.topic">Harvard University</a>.  She is the eighth president in the Urban League’s 93-year-history, succeeding Cheryle R. Jackson, who resigned in March to join <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="ORCRP000053" title="AAR Corp." href="/topic/economy-business-finance/aar-corp.-ORCRP000053.topic">AAR Corp.</a>

Zopp comes to the Urban League from Exelon Corp., where she was most recently executive vice president and general counsel.
