Eileen Lowery hs been named senior director of programs for the Respiratory Health Association. She will oversee day-to-day operations of all the association's professional services and research activities; preside over the association's programs and outreach for asthma, COPD, tobacco cessation and flu immunization; and serve as the association's liaison to the medical and scientific research community and other important stakeholder groups. Lowery has seven years of experience at the association, and she most recently served as director of lung health initiatives. She served as RHA's coordinator of COPD and lung health initiatives, and as a pulmonary practice manager and pulmonary nurse clinician at Northwestern Medical Faculty Foundation. She received a Bachelor's degree Western Illinois University, a nursing degree from Ravenswood Hospital School of Nursing and a Master's degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
