( September 11, 2012 ) John M. Forbes has been appointed executive director of the American Academy of Periodontology. He will lead the operations and staff of the organization, and will report to the Board of Trustees. Most recently, Forbes served as chief operating officer and associate executive director of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Previously, Forbes was chief executive officer of the Missouri-Illinois Regional Blood Center, one of the largest community blood centers in the American Red Cross system. Forbes has a Bachelor's degree from Miami University and an MBA from Loyola University. |
