The Board of Directors of the Illinois Science & Technology Coalition (ISTC) has named Mark Harris, former deputy chief of staff for Illinois Governor Pat Quinn, as its chief executive officer. Harris replaces Matthew Summy, who will continue to support ISTC as a member of its board of directors. Prior to his position in the Governor¿s office, Harris spent four years at the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity. He also served as the associate director for the Polsky Center for Entrepreneurship at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He has worked with the Chilean-American Chamber of Commerce in Santiago, Chile. He holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and an master's degree from the University of Chicago.
